Dave McRae’s Breakout Session Description
Voice over is a talent and talent cannot be taught. However, technique can! How well do you know your own voice? Very few stepping into the world of professional voice over for the first time have ever heard themselves objectively. Even those with some experience behind them don’t listen to themselves objectively as often as they should. Knowing your voice objectively is one of the most important aspects of voice over, and yet it is often overlooked. Professional voice artist Dave McRae talks about how to properly get to know your own voice, what a good, solid and professional demo should sound like and to how utilize your voice to help bring your “voice” and voice over career to the next level. He’ll also touch on his career, the reality of what you’re facing, what has worked for him, what may work for you and more. This is an absolute must for beginners and even those with some voice over experience behind them.
