Wayne Young is an award-winning Nashville based producer and mixing engineer. From an early age Wayne discovered a love for the violin, which led him to many national competitions. In 2010, he traveled to Europe with the LCI Chamber Choir, and was given the opportunity to record in some of the most prestigious cathedrals in Italy, Germany and Austria.
In 2012, he produced “Kaitlin’s Song,” which hit #1 on the iTunes Inspirational charts with all the proceeds donated to Compassion Canada, followed by “Something Cold EP” that reached #4 on the rock charts. He has also been nominated for multiple GMA Awards amongst other industry accolades. His love of gear is unsurpassed, but has been known to go to extra-ordinary lengths to capture magical performances instead of fixing it in the mix.
Wayne Young graduated from OIART and continued his studies at the University of Lethbridge Digital Audio Arts program. He has been labeled a coffee snob, and his assistant’s primary job is making sure the studio fridge is stocked with redbull.
